Terms of Service
Last updated 28 July 2026
These terms cover your use of Kanon Cloud. By creating an account you agree to them.
The service
Kanon analyses source code you connect and produces a knowledge base describing your product’s behavior, with each statement citing the code it came from. Access is provided on a subscription basis under the plan you select.
Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure. API tokens act with full access to their workspace — treat them as passwords and revoke any you do not recognise. You must be old enough to enter a contract where you live.
Your content
Your code stays yours. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store, process and analyse the repository content you connect, and to send it to our sub-processors for that purpose (see the Privacy Policy). We do not use your code to train models, and we do not share it with other customers.
You confirm you have the right to submit the code you connect for analysis.
What Kanon does and does not guarantee
Kanon distinguishes two states, and the difference is the product:
- Asserted — a statement derived from your code and citing a specific location. It reflects what the analysis found.
- Verified — a statement additionally backed by a passing test in your own suite.
Analysis is produced with the help of language models and can be incomplete or wrong. A knowledge base is a tool for understanding your product — it is nota substitute for reading the code, and it must not be relied on as the sole basis for a decision with legal, financial, security or safety consequences. The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind.
Acceptable use
You may not use Kanon to:
- analyse code you have no right to analyse;
- attempt to access another workspace’s data;
- probe, overload or circumvent the service’s limits, including plan quotas and rate limits;
- resell or white-label the service without a written agreement.
Plans, billing and cancellation
The Starter plan is free and subject to the limits shown on the pricing page. Paid plans are billed per seat in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. There is no free trial on paid plans.
You can cancel at any time from the billing page; access continues to the end of the period you have paid for. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law. We will give at least 30 days’ notice by email before changing prices.
Downgrading does not delete anything. Your knowledge base stays readable; you simply cannot scan beyond the free tier’s limits.
Availability and support
We aim to keep Kanon available continuously but do not offer a contractual uptime commitment. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where practical.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that creates a security or legal risk, or whose payment fails and remains unpaid after notice. You may close your account at any time; see the Privacy Policy for what happens to your data.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified by email before they take effect, and continuing to use the service after that means you accept them.
